Actually your lifestyle IS a choice, but the idea that there is a 'gay lifestyle' that ALL people who are L, G, or B live is incorrect. Your lifestyle though is how you live your life, not who you're attracted to. There is no 'gay lifestyle' just like there's no 'straight lifestyle'...a person's lifestyle is individual and based off of how they act (which is a choice).
Lifestyle is a choice, orientation is not a choice. Moral behaviour is a choice, orientation is not. Hate is a choice, Orientation is not.
Still good for you for standing up to be counted!
Perhaps the comment was intended to highlight the ignorant assumption (rather than make the assumption again) that homosexuality is a 'lifestyle' rather than a sexuality.
Hence the inverted commas.
Good call Alanna, I think you're spot on.
hey just a question whether brendon was gay as i think he is such a lovely guy and he seems quite genuine. Ok ill be honest twas a wish heheh
love everything about him and his show
lifestyle is a choice, orientarion is not. but we can see that the guy on the photo used " ".
Could it just be the guy was after a quick pun based on the channel his show is on? Let's not debate semantics, give him 'moar' credit than that.
Monica, if i get u rite, then it rests to myself, to be straight or gay? Otherwise it´s rite, that my lifestyle isn´t a choice. I think, that the way how I live my life includes the point who I am attracted to. Queer ppl can´t live their live how they want it to. So it ISN´T.
Brendon Moar is a genuine & lovely guy. I worked with him in two seasons of "Les Miserable" at the Laycock Theatre in Gosford, NSW, several years back.
He played the male lead, Marius & I played Thenartier the drunken innkeeper
( type cast again!).
He has a wonderful presence on stage & a beautiful singing voice. And he can act.
I wish him well in all he does. Who gives a rats what sexual orientation or lifestyle he chooses &/or was born with? He is a human being of quality & compassion.
sexuality is one part of many, many parts of a human beings personality, choosing to hate someone based on that is uncivilised.
