In the aftermath of a number of recent well-publicised suicide cases in the U.S. among gay and lesbian youth, the It Gets Better project was formed.
It aims to show that even if young gays and lesbians are experiencing bullying and discrimination, that "it gets better", that there are people and organisations out there to provide help and support and that no matter where they are, there is a community out there that will take care of them.
Former Savage Garden singer Australian Darren Hayes and our own Shannon Boh from This Is Oz did the same.
