Wear it Purple

A local young woman is urging people, specifically young people attending school, to wear a purple arm band today 15 October to show support for young GLBT people.

At least five incidents of young men killing themselves after being bullied because of their sexual orientation have been reported in the US in the last month. The rates of youth suicide are significantly higher for gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender young people.
