I don't understand what it means to say 'love doesn't discriminate'. It's pretty clear that it does. When we choose the person we will love, we don't choose indiscriminately - we base our choices on our their character, their goals, their dreams, their tastes, their beliefs, their looks, all kinds of things. Could someone explain what I'm missing here? This slogan seems to be false - why use it?

I think she means that love is love, regardless of gender or sexuality, and that some kinds of love shouldn't be privileged over others. Also, sometimes you can't help who you fall in love with.
