That’s So Gay...NOT OK
You’re invited to a special parliamentary forum on homophobic bullying in schools. The forum will be hosted by Greens’ MP Cate Faehrmann and speakers include ARCSHS' Associate Professor Dr Lynne Hillier and ACON CEO Nicolas Parkhill. There will be personal stories from the community and an open floor discussion.
Speakers
Associate Professor Dr Lynne Hillier - ARCS HS - Dr Hillier is a Research Fellow at the Australian Research Centre in Sex, Health and Society at La Trobe University and coauthor of the Writing Themselves In national reports on the health and well-being of same-sex attracted young people. She is widely respected as being at the forefront of sexuality and gender research and policy in Australia.
Nicolas Parkhill - ACON - Mr Parkhill is the Chief Executive Officer of ACON, Australia’s largest community-based gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender health organisation. He has a background in the public and community health sectors, with extensive policy development, campaign management and public relations experience.
