After spending three weeks traveling through your country several years ago with my partner I can say that we were welcomed where ever we visited. No worries!
Wow, I truly admire your atheletes COURAGE OF CONVICTION. Living in Philadelphia our big strong macho Eagles football team would never have the COURAGE to do such a thing. They are more concerned with supporting a CONVICTED animal abuser. Well done Australia. Once again by just simply doing the right thing you've put my "great nation" to shame. Larry
Just so you guys know, though its great they support diversity and equality, it isn't surprising, coz they're actually a gay rugby team, not a mainstream team.
Amazing! I've been seeing this all over the place....Towleroad.com , AfterElton.com , The Advocate, Perez Hilton....the fact that you all are able to get so many celebs to be a part of this campaign is PHENOMENAL! We live in a world where celebrity is so important (whether we like it or not).
Todd, the Sydney convicts are a 'gay' rugby team, but the Australian Wallabies are not. I think that it's their inclusion in this campaign that so many people are excited about.
The Australian character is reflected in a simple but powerful expression that eludes to a deeper set of national values:
" FAIR GO MATE" - That it doesn't matter whether there are letters after or before your name, nor how much money you have in your bank account, nor the fact that you might drive a fancy car (or not). Its about the quality of the individual. A good work ethic? Respect and fair treatment of others? Giving everyone a chance? Pulling together when the need arises just to cite a few.
